Giana at 1 Month!
Giana at 1 Month!
Melissa and I cannot believe how fast this is going. Just last month Giana was in Melissa's belly kicking and making waves. Today she's in her crib making ga-ga-goo-goo noises. We've had to figure out her schedule that seems to change every day. One day something works... and the next day it changes. Just when you think you've got it down... it's time to turn to plan B. But all in all this has been quite the experience. We love being parents and we love how well we've adjusted from living as husband and wife, to living as parents to Giana Renee. She's beautiful... and she gets more beautiful each day. Melissa and I look forward to the rest of this journey... and to say it quite simply... Giana makes us feel so very blessed!

We had a little elf visit us during the holidays. She brought more than gifts under the tree... she brought her suitcase and moved right in.

Grandma Alex and Giana
Short story - Grandma Alex picked up the Christmas outfit, but the suit was too big for Giana who was only 2 weeks old at the time. Giana was fussing and screaming most of the time, but at least we were able to get a few pictures in. What a first Christmas!

So what have we learned in the first month........
Parenting is a blessing!!! and it's more than what people say it is. Sure there have been sleepless nights, doo-doo diapers, and continuous crying. But all and all... there is something in parenting that no one can fully explain. There are absolutely no words for the awe and love that comes out of seeing your child breathe at night, stare at you, and smell as sweet as they do. There is absolutely no words for what God has done to create such a miracle. A miracle that teaches us to love more, to love God more, and to witness what God has done in our lives. Giana is that miracle and with all that we have, we look forward to every second, every minute, every hour, and every day with our little girl. Of course it has been difficult, but she is that so worth it!
'til next month!
